HGV Class 1 Driver (Days)

As part of the Lockwood Group, William West & Sons is looking for professional and motivated HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our expanding team. Whether you're an experienced driver or newly qualified, we offer the training, support, and career development opportunities to help you succeed.

Pay & Benefits

Range based on the below:

Minimum of 44 hours per week (basic): £31,574.40 (£13.80 per hour)

Average of 55 hours per week: £39,468.00

• 44 hour basic week: £607.20 – additional hours may be required to suit business needs
• 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

The Role

• Monday to Friday day shifts
• General haulage work
• Operating modern vehicles equipped with the latest technology
• Delivering goods safely, efficiently, and professionally
• Providing excellent customer service at all times
• Maintaining clear and timely communication with our Transport Team

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional attitude and commitment to safety
